Announcing TravelCon 2019 (And Our First Group of Speakers)

TravelCon 2019 in Boston, June 27-29
TravelCon 2018 has been over for a month now. It was a huge success, with close to 600 attendees, over 30 sponsors, about 85 speakers, countless connections made, and endless fun. Although it was hectic to put together my first major event, I loved every minute of it.

The running comment I heard from attendees was: “I can’t believe how smoothly this is running for the first year.”

This year’s conference was awesome — and the fun can best be seen below, in the video and some photos:

Pretty cool, huh? We had so much fun, which is why I’m so excited to that today, we’re formally announcing next year’s TravelCon!

It will be held in Boston June 27–29, 2019 at the Westin Copley. It’s going to be three days of learning, networking, and education.

We’re going to try to take it up a notch next year since I took a lot of notes on ways to improve things. We’re going to make clearer tracks for beginning, intermediate, and advanced attendees; hold more meet-ups; put on more photo and writing workshops (and they’ll be longer too); use larger rooms to accommodate everyone, and maybe some cool musical acts during the party. Plus, we are including the virtual pass this year too in the price of the ticket!

We’re going to make a lot of improvements over our first year!

Speakers
We’re also going to line up some amazing speakers. While we’re still building our schedule, I can share our first round of speakers.

We’re going to have six keynotes next year, and we’re going all out! I can already announce the first three:

I’m super excited to have Mark, Cheryl, and Tony share their wisdom with us. They are all phenomenal. No other major travel media event has had these speakers at their event before and I can’t wait to hear them speak!

Breakouts
Once again we’ll be having some amazing, hands-on breakout sessions, where you can learn from the best in the industry. We’ll be announcing more speakers over the next few months, but here are a few you can expect:

How to Attend
Don’t miss out on next year’s conference! To meet the demand, we’re expanding the number of attendees from 600 to 800, as we want to make sure everyone can get in. We sold out this year and had quite the waitlist!

In fact, people had so much fun that when we offered this year’s attendees the first chance to attend again next year, we sold over 300 tickets. 320 to be exact, which leaves only 480 tickets for sale.

We sold out last year and fully expect to sell out again this year. Once we hit our cap, that’s it!

Ths year, tickets are $399 and include the following:

  • All keynotes and sessions
  • Workshop registration
  • Networking events
  • Evening parties
  • Expo hall access
  • Virtual pass (so if you miss any sessions, you can watch them online!)
  • Any included lunches
  • Marketplace appointments

The price will go up after the end of the year so get your ticket while you can!

Moreover, I hate conferences that don’t allow for refunds, so we’re not gonna be like them! There’s a 60-day refund policy on all tickets. No questions asked. We’re travelers too so we know plans change. If you can’t make it, we’ll refund your ticket and give it to someone else!

So get your ticket the with peace of mind of knowing if your plans change, you won’t be stuck!.

This year’s conference felt like a family, a community of happy people looking to learn and share their love of a travel. We’re going to keep fostering that sense of community. No one succeeds alone in this industry. We’re all in this together!

Come be a part of TravelCon!

Our tickets are limited and I fully expect to sell out again so get them while they are available!

See you there!

And, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments!
